Over VND 2 billion invested for Electric Vehicle Engineering students

On the morning of January 30, 2026, LHU solemnly held the inauguration ceremony of its Electric Vehicle Lab, with a total investment of over VND 2 billion, dedicated to students majoring in Electric Vehicle Engineering Technology.

The Lab is located at Campus 6, Center of Scientific Research and Applications. The event marked an important milestone in the University’s strategy to enhance training quality through practice-oriented education.

The ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lam Thanh Hien, Rector; Dr. Pham Van Toan, Dean of the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics; leaders of departments and centers; and a large number of students. Industry partners included Mr. Dang Van Luyen, Director of the VATC Automotive Technical Training Center; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nha, Sales Director of BYD Oway Bien Hoa; Mr. Pham Sang, Service Workshop Manager of Hyundai Ngoc Phat; and representatives from Honda Oto Bien Hoa.

University leaders and industry partners touring the Lab

The Electric Vehicle Lab was synchronously designed to fully meet teaching, learning, and research requirements, featuring a range of modern, specialized equipment. Notably, LHU has invested in two advanced electric vehicles, including a BYD Atto 2 valued at nearly VND 700 million and a VF3 electric vehicle worth nearly VND 300 million to directly support training and research activities.

In addition, it is equipped with high-voltage battery systems, electric motors, controllers, charging stations, measuring and testing devices, as well as specialized diagnostic tools. The entire facility has been developed in accordance with strict technical safety standards, enabling students to access a learning environment closely aligned with real-world working conditions in the electric vehicle industry.

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lam Thanh Hien, Rector of LHU, emphasized that the investment in the Electric Vehicle Practice Laboratory aims to provide students with a learning environment closely aligned with real-world industry practices. Through this facility, students will have direct access to modern technologies, equipment, and technical processes, thereby enhancing their practical skills and adaptability to professional requirements after graduation

The Electric Vehicle Lab is not merely a space for skill training but a comprehensive educational environment. Here, students can gradually develop technical thinking, improve problem analysis and troubleshooting abilities, and strengthen teamwork skills.
