Sharing Experiences in database development for university governance

LHU's Information and Documentation Centre shared its experience in developing information technology systems to support university governance. To date, the Centre has developed 47 software applications integrated into the University's internal information system. These applications support university administration, teaching and learning, community engagement, surveys, feedback collection and staff performance management. The integrated system also supports university leaders in making data-driven decisions, contributing to more effective institutional management.

Sharing experiences in international university rankings

Lac Hong University shared its experience in participating in three international university ranking systems: the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings, the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), and the QS Asia University Rankings. In the 2026 THE rankings, LHU was placed in the 801–1000 band worldwide, improving by at least 501 places based on ranking band thresholds compared with its 1501+ position in 2025. In the WURI Rankings 2026, LHU ranked 91st out of 500 universities in the Global Innovative Universities category, improving from 100th out of 400 in 2025. Notably, the University achieved 2nd place out of 100 in the Entrepreneurial Culture & Ecosystem category and 74th place out of 100 in the Empowerment-Based Management category. These were two newly recognised categories in LHU's 2026 ranking results. In the QS Asia University Rankings 2027, Lac Hong University was ranked for the first time, securing a place in the 1201–1300 band among Asian universities.

Participation in international university rankings provides LHU with valuable benchmarking data to further improve its data management systems, strengthen institutional benchmarking capabilities and promote continuous quality improvement in higher education.

Sharing technology solutions for quality assurance in higher education

Building on its previous experience in transferring software for measuring the achievement of learning outcomes to partner higher education institutions in Vietnam, LHU's Testing and Quality Assurance Department has recently developed an improved web-based version of the system. The platform not only supports lecturers in measuring and assessing learning outcomes but also enables academic programme management teams to monitor and analyse data through an interactive dashboard. This system helps university leaders and academic departments make data-driven decisions to improve academic programmes. It also enables early identification and alerts for students who have not yet achieved the expected learning outcomes.

Exchanging experiences in AUN-QA programme assessment

The two universities exchanged experiences in implementing academic programme assessment under the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) standards, focusing on self-assessment, evidence collection and management, and continuous quality improvement. These discussions contributed to strengthening institutional quality assurance capabilities, supporting preparations for external assessment and promoting regional integration in higher education.

Representatives of the two universities exchanged gifts as a token of appreciation at the conclusion of the working session.

The professional exchange between the two universities aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), supporting knowledge sharing, technology adoption and more effective university governance.
