Content Creation as a Vital Skill in E-Commerce

Within the e-commerce landscape, content serves not only to convey information but also to attract customers, build trust, and drive sales conversions. A well-crafted short video, social media post, or livestream session can help brands engage target audiences more effectively across Facebook, TikTok, and other digital platforms.

At the Creator Talk Workshop, students were guided on how to research, select, and develop content ideas tailored to specific viewer demographics. The speakers emphasized that effective content requires a clear message, engaging presentation, and a suitable call to action.

These skills apply directly to courses and projects in Content Marketing, Digital Marketing, Social Commerce, and omnichannel retail operations.

Building a Personal Brand on Digital Platforms

A core focus of the workshop centered on personal branding methodologies. Students explored how to identify individual strengths, select niche topics, and establish a distinct style when developing their channels.

Ms. Linh Đan, Content Creator, shares channel-building experience derived from personal branding.

According to the guest speakers, a personal brand is shaped not merely by outward image but by knowledge, shared value, and consistency in content production. For e-commerce students, a personal brand enhances career opportunities across fields such as content creation, digital media, affiliate marketing, livestream selling, and e-commerce channel management.

Initiating personal branding during university years also helps students progressively refine communication, public speaking, storytelling, and community-building skills.

Practicing Video Editing for Media and Sales

Alongside content ideation and personal branding, the workshop introduced students to practical video editing workflows. Participants learned how to select footage, arrange content, create focal points, and finalize short-form videos capable of sustaining viewer retention.

Mr. Thành Nam, Founder/Media Leader, shares practical experience in producing media videos.

Video editing skills have become increasingly essential in e-commerce operations. Businesses and sellers utilize video to showcase products, demonstrate usage instructions, share customer testimonials, promote special offers, or draw viewers to livestream sessions.

Through expert guidance and demonstrations, students gained a deeper understanding of the connection between creative content and business objectives. An effective video must be visually appealing while aligning with target customer needs and supporting specific communication or sales goals.

Real-World Experience from Industry Practitioners

Real-life stories shared by the guest speakers helped students visualize the professional realities of a Content Creator. Channel development demands perseverance, regular trend analysis, and continuous experimentation with novel presentation formats.

The speakers also discussed topic selection, posting schedules, differentiation strategies, and overcoming common challenges during channel growth. An interactive Q&A session addressed questions regarding starting content creation, brainstorming ideas, and defining personal style.

Students realized that passion serves as a starting point, but sustainable growth requires structured planning, practical execution skills, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Connecting Experiential Learning with E-Commerce Education

The Creator Talk Workshop bridged classroom theory with the practical demands of the labor market. The program reflects current trends in e-commerce, where short-form video, livestreams, and personal branding serve as vital tools to reach and persuade consumers.
